Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files a website can ask your browser to store. Local storage and session storage work the same way but through a different browser mechanism; they are commonly grouped with cookies under Italian and European rules on tracking technologies. This page uses the term "cookies" to cover all of them, as the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali does in its cookie guidelines.

Veniceluxurycarrental.it does not set any cookie of its own. There is no analytics tool, no advertising pixel and no social-media tracker running on the site. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not track you across other websites.

Two small items are kept in your browser's local or session storage, listed in the table above:

• one remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page;
• one remembers the car you clicked on the fleet page, so the enquiry form opens with that car already selected.

Neither item is a cookie, neither is sent to us automatically, and neither contains your name, email or phone number.

Two external services are called when a page loads:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on the site; Google receives the visitor's IP address as part of that request;
• jsDelivr delivers the intl-tel-input library used for the phone field in our enquiry and airport-delivery forms; jsDelivr receives the visitor's IP address as part of that request.

Neither service sets a cookie on behalf of Venice Lux Car Rental, and we do not control how each provider handles the IP address it receives. The footer links to our Google and Trustpilot profiles are plain links: nothing loads from those platforms unless you click them.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site do not load anything from WhatsApp and set nothing on this site while the page sits idle. When you tap one, we record the click, the page URL, the referrer, the language and the prefilled message text in our own booking system so we can follow up, and only then does your browser open WhatsApp. From that point the conversation runs on WhatsApp, under Meta's own privacy policy, outside our control.

You can see, block or delete local storage, session storage and cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing storage simply means the cookie notice may reappear and any prefilled car selection will be forgotten; it has no effect on an enquiry you have already sent us, which is kept in our booking system under our general privacy policy.

If Venice Lux Car Rental ever adds an optional cookie, such as one linked to a future analytics or marketing tool, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before that cookie is set, in line with Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante's cookie guidelines.
